Ralph Donaldson Hellams, Jr., MD

Medical Director

Dr. Hellams, a native of Richmond, received his BS from Hampden-Sydney College in 1982. He later earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Richmond in 1991. He attended Eastern Virginia Medical School, graduating in 1995, and completed his Family Practice residency in 1998 through the VCU MCV Blackstone Family Practice program.

Leah Lecuyer, NP

Nurse Practitioner

Leah Lecuyer grew up in Chesterfield County, graduated from James Madison University with both a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Nursing; earning her the status of a “Double Duke”. Her experience ranges broadly to provide optimal care for patients in need. Her passion is to connect with patients. She has a love for primary care and education.

Dr. Ayni Sharif

Physiatrist

Ayni Sharif began her medical professional journey by completing her PA training program at Howard University in 1996 and further enhanced her expertise by earning a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Pace University in 2012. Committed to expanding her knowledge and delivering top-tier patient care, she achieved a Doctor of Medical Science degree with a concentration in Pain Management from the University of Lynchburg in 2019.She has practiced PM&R/Pain Management since 2012. Unwavering dedication to providing exceptional patient care has always been the driving force behind Ayni’s professional journey.

Julie Gronboldt

Director of Rehabilitation

Julie is originally from Michigan and moved to Virginia in 1983. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has been working with the adult and geriatric population for over 30 years and loves to make life worth living for her patients. Julie and her husband live in Chesterfield County with their dog and 3 cats.
